Who We Are

WHO WE ARE

We are an ag-space that heightens creativity, innovation & entrepreneurship while promoting environmental sustainability among youth through safe and productive spaces to realize their agri-business potential
Our mission at AIAR is to bridge the gap between academic research and developmental outcomes in Africa’s agribusiness sector.

The Vision

Our vision is to empower rural farmers to become responsible stewards of their environment, farming business, and inner passions. We believe that by providing rural farmers with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to practice sustainable and profitable agriculture, we can help them improve their quality of life, protect their natural resources and pursue their dreams. We aim to achieve this vision by working with rural farmers one village at a time, building trust, fostering collaboration, and creating lasting impact.

African Inception for Agribusiness Research (AIAR) combines a unique set of activities and services that integrate agribusiness and social investment strategies that achieve both business and human development advancements. This will support learning and the creation and dissemination of new knowledge while building a critically needed talent infrastructure across Africa. Operationally, AIAR’s comprehensive approach is achieved through three key areas:

  1. Barazas – knowledge sharing and collaborations for policy decision support
  2. Research – to improve the performance of farming enterprises and  agribusiness
  3. Bootcamps – to incubate youth-led businesses and enhance  environmental conservation

This is done together with industry experts, development partners, government bodies, and agricultural producers using a blended learning approach.
